Video a part of PR since TV started
PRs always looking for ways to use media
Did "Video News Releases" (VNR) for years
VNRs are very expensive - needs to be broadccast quality
Not cost effective
One done for a medical devise was in the hundreds of thousands of dollars
"Will it blend" videos cost almost nothing - a few hundred dollars; take a look at them on YouTube, seen by millions of people
Intercontinental interviewed their concierge - cost very little
